Yesterday
Yesterday I woke up to a wailing cry from Christian at 7:00 a.m. Why was I still sleeping- because I get to! His excruciating cry was caused by the pain that he was feeling from being constipated. His first constipation. . . and I know that it won't be his last! Poor little guy. I guess that his little body needs to get used to all that whole milk that he's been drinking. Both boys ended up being constipated so I really had to "baby" them and help them through it so we ended up being late to Madison's dentist appointment. The dentist office was fine about that, but Madison ended up practically kicking her way back into the back room. They were so kind to take a polaroid picture of her less than 3 minutes later and come out to show me how calm she was. Anybody have any suggestions for me to keep her calm and unclingy when she has to leave me? Its' so weird that this did not happen at age 2 or 3 for her, but instead at age 4. I know that she has had to transition to having 2 babies and less time with me, but come on! It's staring to weigh me down. Anyways-since my denist office is there too and sadly I know my dentist very well, I ended up bringing the boys over to say hello. They were such a hit that we ended up staying and chatting until Madison came out. She was very happy to say "I have NO cavities!" I just hope that she has Archie's teeth and not mine! We ended up staying a little longer watching the 4 beautiful deer that came to eat right outside of my dentist's window. The boys were laughing and started to pound on the window so I would say that they enjoyed them too.
Here is a picture of Madison and Lizzie the Lizard. She picked Lizzie from the treasure chest from all of the other toys that she could have gotten because she has been learning about pets this past month at preschool. She even ended up giving Lizzie a bottle when we arrived home since it was a baby lizard.
After the boys were in bed, Madison and I had to get ready for the pet show at preschool and teach her pet a trick for Wednesday morning . She wanted to bring Flica her American Girl horse so we had to comb her hair and put ribbons in it to make her look pretty. Since Madison is shy, I had her practice what she wanted to say and after a few times she made me get the video camera. That is amazing in itself! Since we have had the video camera in November, she ALWAYS hides from it. So, when she asked me to tape her TWO times I was quite excited. Who knew that horses can do somersaults in the air?

I thougth I'd give this a try after we talked - I've never thought of Madison as shy......hmmmmmm- I hope the raisons work for the boys - I still feed the girls apricots almost everyday. Hope we can get together soon - Jen
Hmmm...no more bottles or formula, huh? I'm jealous. Blake is not liking the idea of a sippy cup at all - I've tried several. I think I'll give your idea of a shake with a straw a whirl. Allie was much easier in many aspects. We haven't switched over to milk yet, but I can't wait until we do, so I don't have to mix formula anymore. On the otherhand, I'm like you - I can't believe my baby is growing up already! Can you believe it's been a year? Unbelievable! It seems like just yesterday when we found out we were pregnant at the same time - ha!
