Happy Birthday Christian and Caleb!

On Sunday, March 2nd, Christian Thomas and Caleb Gerard turned ONE! They are definitley not babies anymore. Just look at them. When Archie and I look at them we see little boys, cute little boys. I would have loved to get a picture of them sitting together and looking at the camera, but since they are so busy and always on the go, it was impossible. Christian on the left and Caleb on the right playing with balloons before their party started.

My friend, who is an amazing cake decorator, made the boys' smash cakes. She truly is talented and the cake was delicious too!

Caleb dug into the cake and got a wee little messy.

Christian loved the cake and took his time investigating it. He slowly deposited little pieces of the cake into his mouth making sure not to get any of it on his hair or clothing. Can you tell how different these boys are?!

Grandma and Grandpa Coleman bought a firetruck and airplane for the boys to ride. They BOTH love to push them around the house and ride them.

Here is Christain smiling at the giraffe that is on his new chair. The boys look so adorable sitting on these chairs, but as of now, they won't stay seated in them. It's more of a challenge to get in and out of them.

We had a memorable day celebrating our boys' birthday on Saturday and our very talented friend, Matt, helped make it even more memorable. He made a wonderful video of the boys' 1st year that we were able to share with everyone. I tried to put the video on my blog, but was unable to. Take my word, it was very sweet. It's crazy to see how much Christian and Caleb have changed and what they used to look like! On Sunday, their actual birthday, it was fun to spend the day together alone as the Coleman 5. We ended up going shopping and just spending time together. It was truly a wonderful day.
Here are the boys in their car seats on the way to the mall - facing forward for the 1st time. They LOVE facing forward.

A few days before the boys turned one, I reminisced about the days before they were born. I thought about what life was like when it was only Archie, Madison, and I. And I thought that life was busy then. I thought about the day we found out that we were having twins . . . and that they were both boys. Oh the questions and thoughts that ran through my mind. I thought about my experience in the hospital and how I am SO happy and grateful that God was with me and the doctors in the emergency room and that He allowed me to live so I could see my babies grow and experience their first year of life. I hope and pray that I will have many more years to be a Mommy to my 3 children.

I remember a year ago when the twins were born and how exciting and scary of a day that was. We were really scared that we could lose you. But we didn't!! You are such an amazing mom, sister, daughter, wife, and friend to so many people. We love you!! Happy birthday to my favorite twin nephews!!! :)
